Ritual.co, Restaurant Solutions at Global Scale

Solaris Wireless, founded 2013, has been serving institutional buyers in this category since the company's earliest engagements. Ritual.co is a restaurant solutions provider headquartered in Canada, with operations spanning North America, Europe and Australia. Their platform powers self-service ordering across hundreds of restaurant locations, each requiring purpose-built, provisioned hardware to function reliably in a commercial kitchen and front-of-house environment.

Ritual turned to Solaris Wireless for close to ten thousand units of mobile phones to serve as the hardware backbone for their kiosk deployment. The requirement was exacting: devices had to run a lightweight, barebone Android One OS, stripping out all non-essential software to ensure performance, security, and predictable behaviour in a managed deployment context.

"The devices needed to do one thing perfectly, everywhere. Android One gave us the control, Solaris gave us the scale."

Sourced, Provisioned, Mounted, Packaged & Shipped

Solaris Wireless handled the full lifecycle from device sourcing through to retail-ready fulfilment. We sourced close to ten thousand units meeting Ritual's hardware specification, then provisioned each device with their proprietary OS, a custom Android One build configured for their kiosk environment.

Beyond provisioning, each device was mounted on a stand and packaged as a complete, retail-ready "kiosk unit." These individual packages were then shipped direct to restaurant locations across three continents, arriving ready to deploy, with no additional assembly required on-site.

01
Device Sourcing at Volume

Sourced close to ten thousand mobile phone units meeting Ritual's hardware specification, including screen size, compute performance, and connectivity requirements for a kiosk operating environment.

02
Android One OS Provisioning

Each device flashed with Ritual's proprietary Android One OS, a lightweight, barebone build with all non-essential software removed. Provisioning performed at scale with per-unit verification before packaging.

03
Stand Mounting & Retail Packaging

Provisioned devices mounted on stands and packaged as individual, retail-ready kiosk units. Each package assembled and inspected to Ritual's specification, ready to open and deploy at the restaurant location.

04
Direct-to-Restaurant Fulfilment

Individual packaged kiosks shipped directly to restaurant locations across North America, Europe and Australia, bypassing distribution intermediaries and ensuring each site received exactly what they needed, ready to use.
